This past Saturday, The Eye Bar hosted another See The Difference Event featuring Ørgreen & Oliver Goldsmith right here in Murfreesboro. It was one of those days that reminds us why we love what we do: connecting people with eyewear that’s not just functional, but expressive, timeless, and beautifully made.

From the moment the doors opened, the energy in the shop felt different. Guests filtered in steadily through the day, some stopping by just to browse, others arriving ready to find their next favorite pair. We had music playing, tea and treats from local partners, and our team buzzing around helping people try on frames, compare colors, and narrow down that perfect fit.

Two Iconic Brands, One Day

It’s not every day you get to see two of the most respected eyewear designers in the world under one roof.

Ørgreen brought the clean, architectural design and featherweight titanium the brand is known for, along with vibrant acetates and even a new 3D Printed line. Every piece looks effortless, but you can tell immediately that it’s engineered with precision. People were surprised by how light the frames felt. One guest said, “It doesn’t even feel like I’m wearing glasses.” That’s Ørgreen’s magic: you notice the design, but you don’t feel the weight.

Then there was Oliver Goldsmith, the brand behind some of the most recognizable eyewear in history. Audrey Hepburn’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s sunglasses, Michael Caine’s signature frames, Grace Kelly’s elegance, OG has dressed style icons for nearly a century. Seeing that same craftsmanship up close was a treat for everyone. The collection has this timeless quality that feels equal parts vintage and modern, refined but not overstated.

For many of our guests, it was their first time experiencing Oliver Goldsmith in person, since it’s not a brand we have in-store every day. That rarity made the event even more special.

The Experience

We designed this event to be an open-house trunk show, no rush, no appointments, just a relaxed afternoon where people could take their time.

As guests tried on the frames, our team helped with styling, fit, and lens guidance, making sure every frame worked not just aesthetically, but practically too.

There’s something about trying on frames in person that photos just can’t capture, the feel of the materials, the color in natural light, the way a shape changes the whole expression of your face. It’s part science, part art, and our favorite part of the job.

The shop stayed lively all afternoon. Some guests came with friends or family to get opinions, and others brought their kids, who loved helping pick out “the winner.” That sense of community and connection is exactly why we host events like this.

Why We Host Events Like This

When we opened The Eye Bar, the goal was simple: bring luxury eyewear from the best brands around the world to Middle Tennessee and make the experience personal. We’re not a big-box optical, and that’s by design.

These events let us slow down and create something memorable. You get to see full collections that aren’t always in store, learn about the story behind the brands, and find eyewear that genuinely fits your personality, not just your prescription.

It’s less about sales, more about connection. Helping someone find a frame that makes them light up when they look in the mirror, that’s the best part of the job.

We’re already brainstorming our next See The Difference Event. If you missed this one, don’t worry, there are more opportunities coming to explore the best in designer eyewear right here in Murfreesboro.

From All of Us at The Eye Bar

Thank you to everyone who came out, brought a friend, shared a laugh, or tried on a dozen frames just for fun. Events like this remind us that eyewear is more than just a necessity, it’s a form of self-expression and a way to feel truly seen.

We’re so grateful for this community and for every person who supports local businesses like ours.
