I began my career in optical back in 1997. I quickly found that the technical aspects of glasses appealed to my love of science and math. However, it was my PawPaw and uncle; both opticians themselves who help to foster my passion for serving others through optical. Over the years I have developed both an appreciation as well as a love for the beauty and craftsmanship that goes into quality frames. The combination of my love of eyeglasses and serving others is what led me to want to open The Eye Bar.
Outside of the optical shop, I am a quiet man who loves attending Life Point Church in Smyrna, TN where I live with my beautiful wife Mistie, our two children Megan and Hailey, and Ruger and Gunner…our golden retrievers. I enjoy spending my extra time finding an excuse to be in the great outdoors. Whether it’s hunting, fishing, hiking, or just enjoying the view that is where I’m the most at peace. -J.
