At The Eye Bar, we lead with relationships. Whether you need a new pair of glasses, a simple repair, or just want to stop in and say hi, we’re here for it.

This space is a blend of everything Jeremey loves about optics: the precision and logic behind advanced lenses, the beauty and craftsmanship of well-made frames, and the joy of helping people feel confident in how they see and how they look.

Every face is different. Every lifestyle is different. That’s why we take the time to get to know you. We’ll walk you through options, help you understand your lenses, and guide you to frames that don’t just fit—they elevate.

We offer both prescription and non-prescription eyewear, and we’re happy to assist with adjustments and minor repairs anytime.

OUR ROOTS

Our roots in the optical industry go all the way back to 1969, when my PawPaw (grandfather), David McWhorter, and his partner, Charlie Bibb, opened Southern Optical in Nashville, TN. Southern Optical quickly earned a reputation for providing high-quality eyewear, deep expertise, and very personalized service.

Twenty years later, David’s son—my uncle, Chris—ventured out with his father’s blessing to open Christopher Optical in Franklin, TN. Since 1989, Christopher Optical has grown into one of the most respected optical shops in Middle Tennessee.

I began my apprenticeship at Christopher Optical in 1997 and was truly blessed to learn under my PawPaw, my uncle, and many other great opticians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists along the way. I received my license as a Dispensing Optician in 2001 and spent the next two decades sharpening my craft at Christopher Optical.

In 2021, I was blessed with the opportunity to open The Eye Bar here in Murfreesboro, TN—my own way of continuing the optical legacy in my family. And today, that story keeps unfolding: my oldest daughter, Megan, is now apprenticing to become an optician herself.

OUR Promise

I understand there are a lot of options out there when it comes to buying eyewear. So if you give me the opportunity to serve you at The Eye Bar, I promise to use all of my knowledge, skills, and resources to deliver both service and glasses that far exceed your expectations. If we fail, we’ll gladly refund your money.

Because prescription eyewear is custom-made, there are costs involved that can’t always be recovered. That’s why I ask that if any problems arise with your glasses, please let us know as soon as possible and allow us to fix it for you.

To align with typical manufacturer warranty periods, we ask that you bring any issues to our attention within 30 days of receiving your eyeglasses. This allows us to remake your glasses one time within 90 days, at no cost to you, for any change in your prescription, materials, product, or measurements. If we ever make a mistake filling your prescription, it will be corrected at no expense to you, always.

In addition to that, we honor all manufacturer warranties on lenses and frames. The specific warranty periods vary by brand, but every frame line we carry includes at least a one-year warranty against manufacturer defects, unless otherwise noted. All lenses also include a minimum one-year limited warranty against scratches or defects, again, unless otherwise noted. Many of our brands offer coverage that goes well beyond those minimums.
