GENERAL FAQs
Do I need an appointment to visit The Eye Bar?
Not at all. Walk-ins are always welcome.
Do you offer eye exams?
We do not provide eye exams in-house, but we’re happy to refer you to a trusted local eye doctor. Once you have your prescription, we’ll take it from there.
Can I bring my own prescription?
Absolutely. Bring your most current prescription with you, or have your eye doctor email it over—we’ll take it from there.
Do you carry children’s frames?
Yes! We have a fun and functional selection of frames for kids, and we specialize in making sure they’re properly fit and built to last.
Insurance & Billing
Do you take insurance?
In our effort to offer you the very best products and services, The Eye Bar chooses not to contract with any insurance providers due to their restrictive nature. We offer many frame brands and lens technologies that are not available through managed vision care plans. Also, our typical policies/warranties often far exceed those offered through vision networks.
Can I still get reimbursed through my insurance?
In many cases, yes. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider to confirm this and see if they require any unique paperwork. We will provide you with an itemized receipt with the most common info needed to file an out of network claim.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card?
Yes. Prescription glasses are an eligible expense under most HSA and FSA plans, and we accept both.
Will you contact my insurance provider for me?
We do not communicate with insurance companies directly, but we’ll gladly provide what most insurance companies typically require for out-of-network reimbursements.
Warranties & Satisfaction
What’s your warranty policy on frames?
All frames come with a minimum one-year manufacturer’s warranty for defects. Some brands offer extended warranties—we’ll let you know at the time of purchase.
What about lenses?
All lenses include at least a one-year limited warranty for scratches or defects unless otherwise stated.
What if I’m not happy with my glasses?
We promise to use every resource we have to exceed your expectations. If something feels off, contact us within 30 days. We offer one complimentary remake within 90 days for changes in prescription, fit, or lens material. If we made an error, we’ll fix it—no questions asked.
Product Care & Maintenance
How do I clean my lenses safely?
Use a lens-safe cleaning spray and a microfiber cloth—never paper towels, tissues, or your shirt. We’ll send you home with a care kit and show you how to use it.
Do you offer adjustments or minor repairs?
Yes. We’re happy to adjust, tighten, or realign your frames—just stop by. For minor repairs (nose pads, screws, etc.), we do our best to fix them in-house.
How should I store my glasses?
Keep them in a hard-shell case when you’re not wearing them. Avoid leaving them in hot cars or tossing them into bags unprotected.
Do you sell lens cleaning supplies or accessories?
Yes—we offer sprays, cloths, cases, and other care accessories to help your glasses last longer.
